河北工业职业技术学院拥有50多年办学历史，位于省会石家庄市，占地960亩，在校生1万多人，教职工600多人。是河北省规模最大、办学历史最悠久的省属高职院校。2011年，以优秀成绩顺利通过教育部、财政部验收，跻身全国优秀高职院校50强。

学院师资实力雄厚、专业水平领先、教学设施精良。有国家级重点专业5个；国家级教学团队2个，国家教学名师1人，省教学名师4人，建有150多个校内实训基地，与河北冀中能源集团、河北钢铁集团、石家庄制药集团、中国装饰有限公司等250多家企业共建校外实习基地。建有多个高技能人才培养基地，积极为企业开展技术服务和员工培训，近年来，为企业开展技术服务37项，获专利16项，开展多工种多形式的职工培训2万余人次。培养的学生肯吃苦、上手快、责任心强，就业率连年保持在98%以上。招生形势持续向好，近三年录取分数线一直位居省内前列，连续多年获得"省非师范类大中专毕业生就业指导工作先进集体"、"省普通高校招生工作先进集体"等荣誉称号。

学院注重对外交流与合作，学院是中国职业技术教育对外交流中心副主席单位。先后与加拿大、英国、新加坡、德国、美国、澳大利亚等国外和台湾地区院校建立了长期友好交流与合作关系，互派访问团队60余次。

Hebei College of Industry and Technology (HBCIT) is located in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei Province with an area of over 160 acres. It has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students and over 600 staff and teachers.With a history of over 50 years, it is the largest and oldest provincial higher vocational college in Hebei. In 2011, HBCIB successfully passed the evaluation and acceptance of the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance, ranking the top 50 among National Model Vocational Colleges.

The College has abundant qualified teaching staff as well as first-class professional level and well-equipped teaching and learning facilities. Five majors are regarded as the State Key Majors. There are 2 national level teaching teams, 1 national level distinguished teacher and 2 provincial level. Over 150 training bases in campus and training classrooms have were built. In addition, training bases out of campus have been set up by cooperating with 250 more enterprises like Hebei Jizhong Energy Group, Hebei Iron and Steel Group, Shijiazhuang Pharmaceutical Group, China Decorative Engineering Corporation Ltd,etc. Many training bases for excellent skilled talents are also established and technical service. At the same time staff training for enterprises have been offered positively. During the past few years, the college has provided enterprises with 37 service items, among them 16 were patented, the number of staffs taking part in various training items reached 20,000. The graduates are well received because of their willingness to endure hardship, quick learning and strong sense of responsibility. The employment rate for graduates are stablized above 98%. In the past three years the admission score lines rank top among Hebei vocational colleges. HBCIT has been awarded the titles of “Hebei Non-normal College Graduates Employment Guidance Advanced Group” and “Hebei College Enrollment Advanced Group”.

HBCIT lays great emphasis on foreign exchange and cooperation in education. Holding the position of Vice Chairman of Foreign Exchange Center of China Vocational Education, it has entered into long friendly cooperative ralationship with colleges from many countries such as Canada, England, Singapore, Germany, USA, Astralia and Taiwan Region. Mutual visits have been paid for more than 60 times.
